Theme and Graphics of Artifacts
The main scene of Artifacts is constructed like a gaming or summoning table set in a dark but not threatening fantasy environment. Around the reel panel, you can see a king, a wizard, a skeletal bard and other figures who seem to observe the game's outcome as if everything revolves around the value of the objects in play.
The result isn't realistic and doesn't even try to be. The artistic direction chooses an illustrated path, almost like an animated book, with thick lines, solid colors, and a palette dominated by purple, gold, copper, and electric blue. The graphics work well especially for internal consistency.
The high-value symbols aren't simple decorative icons, but artifacts that immediately communicate a clear visual hierarchy. Heart, potion, gemmed key and runic die have greater scenic weight and recall the idea of treasures or tools of special value. The low-value symbols, instead, resemble a deck of cards reinterpreted in fantasy style, with stylized suits that remain readable without breaking the game's atmosphere.
The interface follows this setup too. The multipliers above the reels are very visible, the feature boxes are easy to distinguish, and the information screens clearly explain the transition between golden symbols, Wilds, power-ups, and free spins. For those who appreciate slots with strong graphic personality, Artifacts has a precise identity. For those who prioritize readability, there's still an orderly construction that avoids visual chaos.
